Last Thursday was an exciting day, the mast was raised for the first time. Alex and Joe from Ballard Sails installed the standing rigging and lifelines and measured for sails. On hand to help were Eric Jolley and Simon Miles.

| Evan Walker fabricated the aluminum A frame which stabilizes the mast during raising. A line thru a block at the top of the A frame leads forward and attaches to the mast just below the lower spreaders. The other end of the line goes aft to another block and then to a winch. When not in use, the A frame will live on the trailer. |
